Game modes in Battlefield 2042
BF 2042 will primarily feature 3 main gameplay modes. These include All-Out Warfare, Hazard Zone, and another new mode that DICE hasn’t revealed yet.
All-Out Warfare incorporates two fan-favorite multiplayer modes of the Battlefield series in Breakthrough and Conquest. Thanks to the extensive size of the map in BF 2042, these modes will support up to 128 players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. However, the PS4 and Xbox One versions will support 64 player lobbies with smaller-scaled maps.
Not much detail is available about Hazard Zone. It is a new co-op multiplayer mode in which DICE promises a “tense experience that combines edge-of-your-seat gameplay with the best of the Battlefield sandbox”.
It is a similar case for the third and unannounced game mode. Not much is known apart from the developer describing the mode as a “love letter to core fans” and a “new way to play Battlefield”.
Fans can expect to learn more details and a showcase of these modes at the upcoming EA Play Live on July 22.
Battlefield 2042 Pricing
The price for Battlefield 2042 on the Xbox One will likely be the same as the PlayStation 4. Additionally, the Gold and Ultimate Edition pricing on the Xbox Series X/S will be the same as that on the PS5. The reason for the difference in pricing between the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game is because the former will have a few limitations due to the older hardware.
The game will retail at $69.99. Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition will run a little more expensive with a price of $89.99 on PC and $99.99 on consoles, respectively.
Battlefield 2042 is also coming out with an Ultimate Edition that will break the $100 mark regardless of what platform it is bought on. For PC the Ultimate Edition will run $109.99 and it will retail for $119.99 on consoles.

Battlefield 2042 Maps

The maps in Battlefield 2042 are some of the biggest seen in the series’ history and will allow for intense warfare at an unprecedented scale. The game also incorporates dynamic environments and level destruction.
This means players will have to quickly adapt to extreme weather conditions like tornadoes and sandstorms and other impactful changes to the level in the heat of battle.
The locales in BF 2042 are set in real-world locations around the globe, and each one is extensively and intricately designed with distinction.
